Export control
In the framework of its safety and security policy JSC TVEL implements export control program in the course of foreign trade and international scientific and technical activities. The Fuel Company respects the principle of canceling any export deals if this may cause a breach of law and international commitments of the Russian Federation or affect the country’s national interests.
To implement efficient export control JSC TVEL carries out an institutional program which specifies export control procedures and obligations in accordance with existing Russian regulatory documents.
The Program facilitates getting the export license in a timely manner and sets the conditions, which exclude transfer of materials, equipment, technologies, scientific and technical information, which may affect the national interests of the Russian Federation or result in violation of the international commitments in the field of non-proliferation of the weapons of mass destruction and other the most hazardous types of weapons, as well as preventing breaches of export control legislation.
Physical protection of the enterprises
JSC TVEL renders administrative and methodological assistance to affiliated companies in ensuring physical protection of nuclear materials and installations, establishing security force and preventing terrorist acts. Each affiliated company develops and implements measures to improve physical protection and counter-terrorism protectability on the basis of the annual plans. The analysis of vulnerability and physical protection efficiency is regularly conducted. Emergency notification procedure has been developed for affiliated companies to have them reporting to JSC TVEL.
JSC TVEL continuously monitors physical protection and counter-terrorism protectability of the affiliated companies, in particular, in the course of field exercises conducted jointly with competent authorities. Measures to eliminate identified shortcomings are developed on the basis of the results obtained. Printable version |
