| The JSC TVEL environmental policy is based on principles of rational nature management, maintaining the natural environment at industrial sites, land reclamation, improvement of radiation monitoring systems and maintaining occupational safety of the personnel.
Presently, the system to monitor nuclear, radiation, environmental and general industrial safety is functioning at all the enterprises of JSC TVEL and covers existing and suspended production facilities. This system includes laboratories for nuclear and radiation safety, environmental protection as well as technical supervision services, occupational safety sections and emergency response teams. The laboratories are equipped with instrumentation, which ensures monitoring of releases to the environment and concentration of adverse substances in the production premises; control over compliance with standards set forth for radioactive materials, meeting the environmental guidelines in the controlled areas of the enterprises.
