Tubes
The plant’s pipe-rolling workshop manufactures complete spectrum of tubes required for nuclear fuel production. The applied technology and equipment enable the Works to manufacture high-precision tubes of geometrical size ± 0,03 mm, and with such surface quality that defect level not exceeds 0,015 mm at depth and with the minimal range of parameters according to microstructure and mechanical properties.

| Nuclear fuel for PWR and BWR reactors |
|
Since 1993 Mashinostroitelny Zavod has been cooperating with Siemens (in 2001 became part of Framatome ANP, now - AREVA NP in the field of fuel production for western-designed reactors - PWR (Pressurized Water Reactor) and BWR (Boiling Water Reactor). Since 2004 fuel assemblies (FA) within the mentioned cooperation have been manufactured at the automated production line, designed by the MSZ specialists. In 2005 the plant produced the 1000th FA of western design. Presently, not a single leaking fuel rod, manufactured for Framatome ANP has been registered. Currently, the enterprise manufacutres and supplies fuel to 9 NPPs in Western Europe (Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands). Experience of long-term, fruitful cooperation between MSZ and a foreign firm demonstrates the possibility of successful production of high quality nuclear fuel of various designs.
